The Story of Joe and his Ginger Lei …
JOE was first presented with the lei upon arrival…
Kaipo and Kamanao
of Leis of Hawaii greeted us
Showing off at the Car Rental Pick up
to the “oos and ahhhss” from tourists and locals alike…
“who me?”
The next day he’d bring it out to wear for 30 minutes or so,
and make the beach cottage smell good then…
back in the fridge…
Finally it was his birthday…
so for his official “Island Boyz Calendar ” pose of course he used the lei …
Then off to Birthday Brunch at Cinnamon’s…
the envy of all the Tutus …
not sure which he loved more, the Guava Pancakes or his beloved lei!

The last day we deceided it much nicer to share the still fragrant and beautiful leis with DAD…
When we were leaving Joe was sad…
so I bought him a single strand ginger lei
Kaipo and Kamanao thought he deserved better…
so ANOTHER TRIPLE!!!
